Professor Rosenberg is an experimental high energy physicist who recently returned from a 4-year Interagency Personnel Assignment with the Office of High Energy Physics, Office of Science, U.S. Department of Energy in Washington, D.C. Among his many honors are being a Fellow of the American Physical Society. He was both an Enrico Fermi Postdoctoral Fellow and a U.S. Department of Energy Outstanding Junior Investigator. In 2008 he received an award for “Outstanding Achievement in Departmental Leadership” from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University.
Professor Rosenberg was head of the high energy physics program for over twenty years and has served as Chair of the Deparrtment of Physics and Astronomy.
