PreReq: Graduate standing or instructor permission. Previous coursework equivalent to PHYS 3040 (Thermal Physics) is necessary. Previous or current enrollment in PHYS 4810 (Quantum Mechanics II) is encouraged.

Course Descriptions

Two-semester sequence that covers the fundamentals of Condensed Matter Physics. Phys 5110 is offered in the Fall and Phys 5120 is offered in the spring. Topics covered in these courses include:
