Course Description

Explores the overall structure of our Galaxy and interstellar medium. Previous coursework equivalent to ASTRO 4050/5050 (Astrophysical Cosmology) is necessary for success in this course. Offered irregularly. Typically offered Fall or Spring.

  • Observational techniques for studying interstellar medium
  • Kinematics and chemical evolution of the Galaxy
