Dr. Charlotte Wood earned her Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame in August 2022. She is now the Astronomy & Astrophysics Prize Postdoctoral Fellow here at Iowa State University.

Her research focuses on type Ia supernovae and supernova cosmology. Specifically, she works to distinguish the progenitors of specific SN Ia events through light echoes, using high-resolution imaging from the Hubble Space Telescope. Her research also focuses on understanding how the variations between SN Ia events impact the value of the Hubble constant tension.
