Title: Materials simulations using hybrid quantum-classical computing approaches
Abstract: The rapidly advancing field of quantum computing holds the promise of a paradigm shift in addressing condensed matter and materials science challenges. In this talk, I will highlight our ongoing endeavors in developing near-term quantum algorithms for simulating quantum lattice models. These algorithms extend our developmemnt of Gutzwiller quantum-embedding theory and utilize current quantum processing units. Our research delves into a range of topics, including the preparation of ground states, quantum dynamics, and finite-temperature simulations. Moreover, I will showcase our accomplishments in conducting quantum dynamics simulations of coherent phonon-induced carrier pumping in the zirconium pentatelluride system, and the calculations of two-dimensional coherent spectra, aiming at fostering a strong connection with local experimental efforts.
